The Song Lyrics are taken from The Beatles' song : Think for Yourself sung by George Harrison.
This came into my head. I just had to write it. -laughs-
I've got a word or two To say about the things that you do You're telling all those lies About the good things that we can have if we close our eyes
Mamoru looked up from his cup of coffee as he stuffed the keys of his car down his coat jacket, taking a deep breath - he then picked up his mug and downed what used to fill half the cup. He had just finished tying his shoelaces up and he would be leaving in a few minutes. He headed towards the counter, placing the mug down in the sink - he opened the faucet and started to clean the stains that it had left. He remained quiet, as he then suddenly diverted his glance out the window. It looked it like it was going to be a downpour, the clouds and skies were all gray and some patches were almost black. He could hear the thunder roaring lightly from a distance, he sighed, turning off the faucet and drying his hands with the towel by the counter. He wondered where exactly he had placed his umbrella a few days ago since he last used it.
He then realized that it was very strange that he didn't feel so moody even during weather like this. The normal thing for him to do was go upstairs and lock himself up. There was something about the cold and gray that put him in the lowest spirits, he couldn't figure it out really. Maybe it was because every single bad thing that had happened to him happened when it was raining, happened every storm. He didn't know anything about the origins of this hate for the rain, all he knew now that it had been stupid of him to blame mood influx to weather. He let out a short laugh, shaking his head as if things were so clear to him for the very first time.
Do what you want to do And go where you're going to Think for yourself 'cause I won't be there with you
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he felt the cold wind entering the open window. His lips curved into a small smile as he just stood there by the side of the kitchen table. He didn't exactly know why the cold made him feel so good. Neither did he care to think about it as of the moment. How long has it been since he felt this? He couldn't remember. It was good to feel something else besides anger. It was good to feel something else besides murderous hate. He felt a lot lighter.
Where was he now, Mamoru wondered. He wasn't even entirely sure if he cared. It's just that it had been a passing thought to him. He had suddenly remembered that he had been free from what had been four years of what seemed to be a solid relationship. At least that's what it had used to be before something went wrong towards the end - what it was, he was still unaware of. Some people would say distance. He agreed with it for the most part. Sometimes, he wondered if there was ever a chance that things could've worked even after all the changes that had happened. Maybe it would've if they had both put effort into it - Or maybe it was already too late. There were too many maybe's. It highly irritated him. He found himself frowning once more.
Well - he must've been happier, or at least he hoped that he was.
I left you far behind The ruins of the life that you had in mind And though you still can't see I know your mind's made up You're gonna cause more misery
Katoh ran towards the shed as the rain was starting to pour down even harder. It was going to be even harder to get to the cafe now. He was supposed to be there ten minutes ago - there was some trouble over at one of the gardens which would be the cause of his tardiness. Now this rain just had to make it worse. He scoffed, cursing under his breath. He was already a bit wet as he was riding his bike when the rain started pouring - he knew that she was probably waiting there for him. She would probably get a bit worried if she saw him soaked. But there was nothing to worry about - he knew that she could understand how busy he was, she had her own things to do. He just hoped that he wasn't giving her a headache.
She was different from her - He hadn't thought about her in a while. She was a passing thought now, he used to do it all the time, but it seemed that it was all faded now. They had nothing left but the distance and she had someone else. Someone who could apparently understand her - since he was her "other half" , her better half. What could he have said against that really when it was the one that made sense? Perhaps he was fooling himself for over three years. He was never the one for her though he tried. When he heard that she and that the other guy had gotten back together, he had stayed still for a moment and waited to feel something. It was more of relief that he felt rather than it was anger. He expected the other way around which is why he was shocked when it didn't turn out that way. She was happier now, wasn't she? They were engaged, weren't they? As they should be. As things should be.
He looked down at his hands, staying there calmly - he took a deep breath and grinned to himself. It was something else to be happy after remembering something like that when he'd usually be cursing his head off. But he felt like running out into the rain, laughing as loud as he could until everyone thought he had lost his mind. He'd never felt this free in a long time and he didn't understand. But he didn't bother to think about it. What would be the point?
Do what you want to do And go where you're going to Think for yourself 'cause I won't be there with you
"Mamoru?"
Mamoru looked up at the familiar voice at the doorway, he blinked once as he saw a familiar young man waiting for him. He seemed to have a thick coat on because it was cold outside, he was a bit wet and it looked like he'd gotten there just in time before the storm started. He was wiping his feet onto the mat just outside the kitchen.
"Parsley..."
"Are you alright? You seem a little --" he paused, tilting his head a bit as he studied him carefully. "Distracted." he continued. Mamoru remained calm as he blinked again, leaning back on the wall, hands in his pockets. "Do I? Sorry... I guess I was." "Did I come at a bad time?" Parsley asked again, looking up at him.
The blond turned his gaze back out the window, he saw that the rain was not clearing up any time soon. He looked back at Parsley and remained quiet.
"I... guess I did..." The younger boy said, shaking his head - he smiled a bit. "Sorry, I'll come back later, maybe...?"
Parsley was surprised as Mamoru pulled him close - his green eyes met with purple ones, staring back at him intently. He couldn't help but flush faintly as gentle fingers ran through his light green locks. He felt his lips press upon his, a strong arm wrapping around his waist, keeping him still and making sure he couldn't move and go anywhere. Parsley was not planning to, he sank into his arms, closing his eyes and responding to the kiss.
It was a few moments before Mamoru pulled away and stared into his eyes, stroking his cheek.
"What do you say we stay in today?" The older boy asked him. "I think It's better that way. The rain is a bit of a drag."
Parsley smiled and snuggled close to him. "I'd like that..."
Although your mind's opaque Try thinking more if just for your own sake The future still looks good And you've got time to rectify All the things that you should
Katoh looked up as he heard footsteps. It was then that someone tapped him on the shoulder.
"I kinda knew I'd find you here." Wynden stood there in her light blue robes, her short green hair pulled back with a headband. Her pink eyes looked towards his direction as she smiled gently at him. She folded them umbrella shut as she walked beside him, kissing him lightly in greeting.
"Hey, babe." he said, wrapping an arm around her waist. "What are you doing here? Did you go through all the trouble just for me?" he grinned. "Yes. I was kinda thinking you'd get yourself into a mess like this. So I grabbed the umbrella and headed here. See? I was right." Wynden laughed softly as she nuzzled gently against the curve of his neck. "I think we lost our usual spot, though." "Doesn't matter to me, as long as you're here." Katoh took one good look at her, studying her carefully - he couldn't help but smile, touching her cheek. There she was. Right there. With him. She looked so lovely - she was his now. She wouldn't leave him. There was something inside of his mind that said so. He had never heard that voice until now, he knows that now. He leaned in, kissing her again - a bit deeper this time, holding her protectively.
After a few moments, he pulled back a bit. Wynden blinked once and then smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. "What was that for...?" "I love you, babe." Katoh said in a gentle tone, kissing her hand. "I always will." Wynden smiled, a faint blush rising up to her cheeks, she laughed softly and stayed against him. "Is the cold getting to your head...?" "Not in the least bit." Katoh said as he laughed, shaking his head. He took off his coat and put it over her. "Let's go back to my place. The rain is a bit of a drag."
"Sounds nice." she answered as she took his hand.
Do what you want to do And go where you're going to Think for yourself 'cause I won't be there with you
Sakiko pulled the windows shut, grumbling softly to herself as she sighed and stepped back. She held a mug of coffee in her other hand, it was still steaming as she had just poured it in a few moments ago. The smell was strong, rich - just how she liked it. She took in a deep breath as she looked up at the ceiling - the light was bright enough, she could go back to work.
"You alright, Saki?" she looked up as Shin was curled up on the couch, a cup of tea by the side table. She blinked once and stayed under the blanket. It was one of those days that it was too cold to move or go anywhere. Her wife never really liked being exposed to the cold too much. It felt good but she was cold very easily - she tried her best to keep warm. Sakiko smiled softly, nodding - she looked back at the window. "It's just really pouring out there." She said with a sigh. "Glad that we decided to stay indoors today."
Shin chuckled as her gaze followed towards Sakiko's direction. "We always stay indoors." she leaned back as the silver-haired girl slipped behind her, pulling her close, letting her lean on her. Sakiko kissed her forehead, turning her towards her - looking back at her gently. Shin couldn't help but blush faintly, her seme always had this certain way with her. She touched the younger girl's hand, looking into her eyes. One red, one blue - almost piercing, looking straight into her own amber ones. She smiled, closing her eyes as Sakiko leaned into kiss her softly.
"You're the only one I'll ever need, Shin." she whispered. "I love you." Shin smiled, embracing her back, kissing her cheek. "I love you, too, Saki..."
The rain wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
Do what you want to do And go where you're going to Think for yourself 'cause I won't be there with you Think for yourself 'cause I won't be there with you
By the way: Parsley, Wynden and Shin don't belong to me. They are (c) Rokuryu studios. Mamoru, Katoh and Sakiko however are mine. :D |
